Sum of Us Tuition Achievement Centre

The name “Sum of Us” evolved 15 years ago. Based on the principle that the student, parent and teacher working together will foster a love of lifelong learning. We provide a personalised service based on the student’s immediate and long term goals. Our outstanding teachers are passionate about developing confidence and self-esteem to achieve a student’s full potential. Sum of Us is led by Sara Trethewey. Sara has over 30 years teaching experience and has been recognised as an outstanding teacher both in the UK and Victoria. She regularly provides professional development for many teachers in mainstream schools and family/parent sessions at a couple of urban and rural Sum of Us locations.

Welcome back to Term 1 of 2018 at Sum of Us! We hope everyone is feeling refreshed and looking forward to a wonderful year ahead. At the end of last year, several parents asked us to provide a Study Skills Workshop for older students Years 10 -12.

The objectives of the workshop are
• To provide practical ideas and advice regarding ways to study.
• To enable students to manage their workload effectively.
• To develop healthy and effective work habits,
• To provide guidelines for revision etc.

It’s 2018 and we are really looking forward to the start of a wonderful new school year. Intensive, transition and preparation classes start tomorrow. Call me on 0411 588 085 if you want to make a grass fart,oops make a headstart!
Easy to see the need to read, and spell yourselves. Don’t rely on spellchecker or auto correct functions! Happy New Year .
